Who benefits from our work?

Our association brings together 150 farming families from Nocaima. We also develop initiatives and tools that can benefit producers and organizations in the panela-producing community throughout Colombia.

Our area and the people we serve

Our work begins in Nocaima, Cundinamarca, and reaches Colombia’s panela-producing community through knowledge sharing, innovation and the use of new technologies.

Training and research

We promote training in technology for agriculture, research, agro-industrial innovation and the adoption of solutions that make production processes more efficient and sustainable.

Support for small-scale producers

We support small-scale farmers by marketing their products, seeking new markets and introducing technologies that make farm management easier.

Projects and agricultural innovation

We carry out initiatives to modernize rural work, strengthen panela production and develop our own solutions, including the El Panelero mobile application.

Benefits for rural families

Collective marketing, access to new customers and the adoption of better production tools help generate income, strengthen household finances and improve quality of life in the region.

How does El Panelero work?

El Panelero is an application developed by ASOGROCAIMA to make managing farms and production units easier. It organizes workers and daily work records, schedules tasks, records plots and sugarcane processing, tracks inventories, manages sharecropping agreements and provides information for better decision-making. Its purpose is to bring technology to rural producers and strengthen management in the panela sector.

Institutional and commercial partnerships

We have developed activities and partnerships with entities such as the Government of Cundinamarca and commercial initiatives such as Wolfpussy Colombian Lemonade, strengthening the visibility, processing and marketing of products made from panela.

How income is used

Income generated through marketing helps support producing families, advance new projects, improve the association’s processes and contribute to the well-being and quality of life of the rural community.

You can also support rural development

Individuals, businesses, institutions and organizations can contribute through donations, training, knowledge sharing, volunteering, labor, commercial partnerships or support for our innovation projects.
